Dr. Rana Al-Jaibachi hold Ph.D. in Biological Sciences thesis title “The impact of microplastics on freshwater invertebrates” from the University of Reading, UK. Dr. Al-Jaibachi research focus on the ecotoxicological impact of microplastics on several freshwater species including Daphina magna and mosquitoes Culex Spp. Her research was the first to discover the ontogenic transfer of microplastic through the mosquito’s life stages.She is the first author of five publications in high impact journals and one book chapter. She worked as postdoctoral researcher at the University of Reading. responsible for supervising of several PhD, MSc, and undergrad students to on their experimental design, set up, data analysis and writing up.

She participated in several teaching courses as a teaching assistant and demonstrator in the University of Reading during her PhD study and she was able to communicate her research as speaker in many national and international conferences.

She is currently working as a knowledge transfer manager, who’s responsible for several research ideas and to help other researchers secure their funding opportunities and finding the best available solution in the industry in addition to the networking and connections between academics and industrial research.
